I loved reading about the Jewish version of good and bad urges. I’ve read about “shadows” but this is much more fun and easy to relate to. I think I will come up with names for mine and have conversations – maybe Angelique for yetzer hatov and Stella for yetzer hara.
The “Ouch” chapter is such an important description of how pain and trauma influence our lives in profound and subtle ways. Thank you Helen.

As a therapist, I can see myself recommending this book to clients. The text is insightful and the exercises are very useful in clearing old traumas.
